A Bike Tour with Heart: Join Big Waves at the Courage Classic
There’s something about mountain air, community spirit, and a whole lot of pedaling that makes the Courage Classic weekend unforgettable. Held at Copper Mountain Resort each July, this two-day bike tour offers more than gorgeous views and good company—it raises critical funds for Children’s Hospital Colorado.

At Big Waves, we’re proud to rally behind this cause each year, not just because we believe in giving back, but because this ride directly supports the ARCH Program (Adaptive Recreation for Childhood Health). That means every dollar we raise helps get kids out on the slopes, into canoes, climbing walls, and back to living boldly—even after injury or illness.
Why It Matters
This ride hits home for our team. Asa personally experienced the exceptional care at Children’s Hospital Colorado, spending months there during a difficult time and still receives care there. It’s the kind of place that sticks with you. The Courage Classic is one small way we give back to the program that gave us so much.
Who Can Join?
Truly anyone. You don’t have to be a cycling superstar. There are ride distances for every ability level: 10–20 miles, 40 miles, and even 80 miles. You can ride solo or alongside friends and family. We’ve had kids, teens, and riders in their 60s join the Big Waves team—everyone is welcome.
Kid-Friendly Options
Even better? It’s low-pressure and high-fun. There’s a two-mile option for younger kids, and it’s perfectly fine to turn around early if your legs say “nope.” This event is about showing up, not showing off.

What You Need to Know
Riders are asked to raise a minimum of $500 for Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Jerseys are $70 (we’re not profiting—just covering costs).
The ride takes place on the weekend of July 19, 2025.
You can ride on either day—whatever works best for your schedule.
